Head Conservator, National Trust
Katy Lithgow joined the National Trust in 1991, having taken a BA Hons in Archaeology, Anthropology and History of Art at Cambridge. Katy obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Wall Paintings Conservation from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, where she taught, following an internship at the Victoria and Albert Museum. As an Area Conservator and then Assistant to the Housekeeper she specialised in storage and protection of collections during building works. She became Head of Conservation at the National Trust in 2005.
