Managing Director, RPW Design
Ariane Steinbeck is the Managing Director of RPW Design, a leading hospitality interior design practice in East London. Ariane’s award-winning career has spanned throughout the United States, Asia and now Europe, with key projects featured in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and CNN. She is an active contributor to the hospitality and interior design industry, serving as a frequent speaker and mentor. Current projects is currently working on projects on 47 Park Street-London, the UK’s first Curio, A Collection by Hilton in London’s Docklands, the storied Fairmont St. Andrews and the historic Marriott County Hall, as well as significant works at another prominent London Hotel, to be released in 2016.
Ariane graduated from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University in New York, and has since honed her skills throughout Chicago, Miami, Hong Kong, the Middle East and now London. Ariane is a member of the Cornell Hotel Society; she is certified with the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and is a LEEDTM AP. Aside from English, Ariane also speaks German and Spanish fluently.
Among the many projects she has worked on, highlights include the refurbishment of the Peninsula Hotel’s flagship – the Peninsula Hong Kong, the Bar Seine and Arabelle Restaurant at the Plaza Athenee in New York City and a number of residential and commercial projects across mainland China and South East Asia. In recognition of her outstanding work, she has also been featured as a guest on Bloomberg Asia TV as well as various publications such as Hotel & Motel Management and Hotel Business. Ariane is also a frequent speaker and judge at hotel industry events and awards, as well as commentator on changing trends and guest expectations in numerous notable trade publications. She spoke at the Sleep Panel on November 24-25th 2015, alongside directors from leading hospitality design studios.
In December, Ariane will be judging the Hyatt Student Prize in Cannes, which supports the growth and development of the next generation of hoteliers and leaders in the industry. She was also featured as a mentor at the British Institute of Interior Design’s inaugural Student Challenge on the 14th November 2015.
